T-Touch Classes at LCHS Office

Have you ever wanted to have a deeper connection with your dog or cat? Or, would you like to learn some techniques to give your critter companion some really significant healing? The T-Touch method, developed in the '70's by Linda Tellington-Jones, could be exactly what you're looking for. T-Touch is a natural therapeutic bodywork consisting of circular movements of the fingers and hands. By using a combination of specific touches, lifts, and movement exercises, T-Touch helps to release tension and increase body awareness for your pet. It is especially beneficial for improving the comfort level of older or arthritic animals who may experience discomfort during the colder months.

T-Touch for your pet is easy to learn and can benefit their physical as well as mental health, and - perhaps most importantly - can deepen your relationship with them. Classes will be taught by Leon County Humane Society Volunteer Coordinator, Lori Carlson, a certified T-Touch Practitioner who's been treating pets and teaching owners for more than 30 years. Complete 6 hour Classes will be offered in three 2-hour sessions. During the following week, an individual session will be scheduled with Lori for you and your pet, enabling you to sharpen your newly acquired skills and work on any specific concerns with your animal.

Class size is limited to 10 and pre-registration is required, so call the Leon County Humane Society at 224-9193 today and sign up to become "touched" with, by and for your beloved critter.
